Back to the Vampires…
Back to the Vampires…

Well, that’s it for Chapter 4. I hope people have been enjoying the drama! Chapter 5 is going to be a blast! I’ve been wanting to get back to the vampire storyline for a while now. Maybe it’s just nostalgia – Vampire was my first LARP, after all – but I always love writing for the vampire characters.

I also love drawing them. Mark’s black outfit, accessorized with an anhk, is pretty much standard issue for most new vampire players (and, one might theorize, for new goths as well).

Great comic! I LOVE Vampire and having LARPed before I think Mark’s naivety as a new player is so perfect… as is (unfortunately) the reactions of his fellow players. I hope someone takes Mark aside and explains that no one is shunning him out of character; that it’s all in character. I really hope no one’s actually holding his noobness against him OOC. LARP is definitely different than Tabletop… when someone gets in your face in character, they’re in your face for real. Some folks have boundary issues and LARP can be scary and intimidating. I hope Mark makes it through without feeling alienated. Keep up the awesome work!

I play a Harry Potter online MUSH. I’d love to see the chars doing something like that. Abbie would make a fine spazzy little Hufflepuff. :)

Poor Mark…XD I love the creepy dress! =D

And I’m afraid the whole black (with or without a necklace) is the standard LARP outfit in general… Wish people would be a little bit more original sometimes =P

If you ask me, Mark needs to integrate himself into the world…

Then get himself and the other gamers to convince Joel (in the same way that Joel ‘convinced’ him into the whole LARP thing to begin with) that vampires are real, the other players are real vampires (including Mark), that they’ve tolerated his ‘mockery’ for long enough, and that they’ve actually come for him. And have Mark bite Joel.

Or whatever it takes to SCARE JOEL SENSELESS

It would make a great payback for that first whole mess.
