And thus begins Chapter 6, where all great adventures start…

In all the excitement of building up the big reveal of Chapter 5, I completely forgot a really big date – namely, Weregeek’s One Year Anniversary!!

One year ago, Mark first stumbled into a vampire game after being chased by the mysterious Hunter.. Now, a year and over 150 strips later, we find out that the threat is even greater than he’d thought! What will happen this year? I can’t say.

Actually, I won’t say. I’ll just sit over here, by my drafting table, and cackle maniacally to myself. Heh. Heh. Heh.

First time, long time. I’ve been reading Weregeek since very close to the beginning, and I’m still here. As one who cut his teeth on AD&D way back in 1980 I love your view of the geek world. May you have another full year of LARPing, Gaming, and Force-choking dice.

    Thanks for all the laughs.

he’s playing an ogre? or is that an orc?

    unusual choice for a n00b…

Why is the lady always the healer? *sighs*

That should be the n00b job.

Nah, it’s traditional for the newbie to play the big hitting class, leave the healer to the more experienced players. This is tabletop, not WoW!

I started a few comics in, and it does NOT seem like a year ago. How the time flies…

I swear, I’m going to own a hotel one day that boasts 50% more dark corners.

    It’s been a year already?!!?

    No way.

I loved the Lord of the Rings reference in this strip! It makes my inner-geek jump for joy.

Here’s to another year of weregeek!

I also just discovered this comic a few weeks ago, and when I did I read almost all the archives in one sitting. Because it is EXCELLENT.

PS: I also recently started playing D&D regularly; my character is a half-orc barbarian with 20 Strength. Oddly, this was before I started reading WereGeek. Neat, eh?
