Emerald City was amazing!!
Emerald City was amazing!!

Hey guys!! Sorry for the late update – there was a bit of a mix up with the comic that was supposed to go up today, and so I’m putting up this little highlights show from the Emerald City Comic Con instead! Regular updates will continue on Wednesday, when I’ll be back at home and will have had more than five hours sleep.  😛

For everyone who stopped by the booth – it was so great meeting you! Thank you for stopping by! Emerald City is such a fantastic con, and I had such a great time!

    W00t the con was fun. Seeing you was great, I was the blond girl in the vinyl coat and purple dragon new rocks. I love the pic of Abbie’s Thief you drew in my book and thanx you lotz, then again I loves all your work. Sorry if I was all nervous, I never really know how to talk with people I’ve never been drunk with….can we say social anxiety disorder? Mew!

    Thanks again!

  6. I actually just picked up reading this webcomic the day of that con. I went back and have now read them all. It’s 10 kinds of tasty mental goodness.

    Mmmmm… shadowrun.

    It was great to meet you. I flew by yours and Jennie’s booth and I was a bit abrupt because I was running to work and desperately trying to put a face to all the creators I adore. It was incredible to meet both of you.

    Just for the record, having DP and Weregeek right next to each other isn’t really fair to all of the geek boys running around. The two of you are dangerously cute individually, but put you right next to each other and you create a zone of incredible menace. The realization that the two ladies standing behind the tables are both geeks who also draw comics is likely to cause either catatonia or unconsciousness. Average boy geeks just aren’t built to take that kind of stress. 😉

    In all seriousness, it was great to meet you and I hope you did well at the con.

    I am so very glad that:
    A) I had actually started reading your postings underneath your comics, so that I knew you would be at the con.
    B) That I was working within sight range of the giant “The Devil’s Panties” sign.
    C) Aaron, the owner of the comic shop I was working for was indulgent enough to let me take lots of breaks so that I could pop over several times.

    You are one of the sweetest, most indulgent folk I have met at that con so far. Thank you so very much!
    You were so very patient when I was babbling about my friends comparing me to Abbie (but, really, I do do that very thing with the chicken strips…)

    The only thing that could have made it more perfect would have been stickers.

    ….and maybe a rocket-powered pony.

    heya! glad you made it to the con! I would have never read this without a personal endorsment from you. (not that it isn’t great, cause seeing shadowrun rawks ass, I just never would have come accross it).

    anyway, I was the guy with the little Jedi boy. I also mentioned you should go to Mortal Tears (see above website thingie)! you’d dig it!

    Hello, Pretty Lady;

    I owe you an apology of sorts. When I met you at ECCC I said I was going to buy one of your posters of a dragon fight, and I didn’t. Truth is, I budgeted for Jennie, and for Jeph at QC, and for Halfpixel, but I discussed it with the financial manager (wife) and decided I was running too light to afford yours, too. Sorry.

  12. Joe Says:

    Ah rats; I just realized what that sounds like. No, I am not saying that any of them are necessarily better than your work. Different, yes; better, no. It’s just that I knew they were there, and planned on supporting them; but I didn’t know that you were going to be there, so I couldn’t plan for it.

    As has been suggested, having you and Jennie together there was a wonderful experience, and I wish I’d had an excuse to spend more time with (either or both of) you.

    Humbly;
    Joe

    Salazar – Thanks!! Don’t worry too much about having perfect English – there’s a lot of international reader!

    Tiger – It was great meeting you too!! You were super enthusiastic, and tons of fun to talk to! Thanks for giving me the chance to draw some of the character’s characters. 🙂
