Goth fungus!
Goth fungus!

Hey, it’s Victor again! He seems to have a knack for getting cute girls to shout his name and then run up and hug him. It must be some sort of goth superpower, because I’ve seen the same thing happen to other tall, lanky goth boys at many a goth bar.

However, the sun is clearly goth kryptonite. (Some would argue it is geek kryptonite as well, except I happen to know a few sun-loving geeks. I am one myself, even if the sun does not love me back.) Luckily, Victor was smart enough to bring his Parasol of Eternal Gloom to protect him.

  1. Hey Alina,

I’m sort of a Geek I guess, more into movies and computer games than into LARP and D&D… but that’s mostly because me and mine have little to no knowledge about it :P, and we’re not really that into Medieval RPs 😛

However your Webcomic has introduced me to Shadowrun, I read up on the universe… the game… the lot really… and I have ordered the core rulebook (4th Ed.) plus the GM screen and Adventures+contacts thingy. I just recieved a message it’s underway 🙂 So we’ll be having some Shadowrun Fun… and All Thanks to You 🙂

Thanks for a really funny Webcomic and something new for us to try 🙂

ps. Illuminati is really an odd game… I love winning at it XD but it can be so frustrating at times 😛

So, it’s been a crappy day. I woke up an hour earlier than usual and couldn’t go back to sleep, work sucked and I came home to find that one of my dogs ate the jump drive I kept all the band’s demos on.

However, I did stumble upon Weregeek tonight and just finished reading the entire run. Thanks for putting a big ol smile on my face.

The sun, it’s our greatest ally in it’s lifegiving heat… and in it’s exuberance to provide that… it becomes our greatest foe.
as it is too much of a good thing can be very bad indeed

We’re pale and wear dark clothing. Sun = overheating and red rashes. It’s not a sterotype, it’s scientific =).

Read your entire Comic run today and offer my greatest compliments. Very true to life (for the ubergeek like me at least). No question one of my favourite web comics ever, and I’m very excited to read more in the future.

Is it just my imagination, or does Victor bear an amazing resemblence to Geddy Lee, of Rush?

Is it my imagination or is that a UtiliKilt being worn there? If so woohoo for the Utiliclan, Free the knees!
If not, still makes me smile.

Just wanted to give a shout-out to how much I love your comic and the fact that Girl Gamers will someday rule the world. MET LARPing (although I prefer Old World to New World. V:tM > V:tR) Boffer LARPing, D&D, Firefly, Whedon in general, Warhammer. It’s awesome seeing other girls who not only know of these things but revel in them.

    You’re awesome!

Kat, I ran a V:tR LARP a couple years back. I think that there were 60% of the gamers in the chronicle were female. Although that may be attributed to the style of game I run. (I hate combat)

  12. Kat Says:

Understandably so. MET combat sucks. Especially mass combat. Three hours of playing rock paper scissors translates into ten minutes, if that, in game? Ew. Just ew.

((Granted I play W:tA so I deal with even /more/ combat than vampires))
