Animethon was this past weekend, and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who dropped by my table! I had a great time drawing anime (something I haven’t done in YEARS!), and an even better time chatting with folks.
But as with chips, you can’t stop with just one Con. This weekend, August 15 - 17th, I will be at Con-Version 24 in Calgary. Con-Version is “Calgary’s premier science-fiction and fantasy convention”, which means that I’ll have to refresh my stock of Jedi-jokes. Especially since one of the special guests is Hugo-winning author, Timothy Zhan. Us geeks would know him as the author of some of the best Star Wars novel trilogies ever, and the first novelist to get the “it’s canon!” nod from Lucas himself.
Oh, also? One of the other guests is Jennie Breeden, of The Devil’s Panties. Prepare for yet another small-red-headed-geeky-girl team-up rampage-of-awesomeness, because there’ll be webcomics, and Klingons, and a geek auction, and lots and lots of other fun geeky things!

Hey folks!* I totally appreciate it when you let me know if you’ve noticed a mistake in a comic, because then I can fix it and the comic is better for everyone.
However, I’d really like to keep these comment sections available for other fun, geeky topics, so if you wouldn’t mind just sending me an email or PMing me on the forum, I’d be super happy. Thanks everyone!!
* This isn’t supposed to single you out or anything, d. I just saw a bit of it on the comments threads lately and figured I’d post it here, since it’s the most current thread.

Hey! I know you didn’t stick around, but we won second place in the costume contest! Also, I’ve been reading your comic all morning and I can’t stop. Help!
Captain Steckley Says:
I have also been reading the comic this morning, though videogames call and considerable webcomic archive reading has a more proper place… while on the clock at work. Mwa ha ha ha.
Tim Says:
Wow. You got to be on a panel with Timothy Zahn? That’s awesome. I don’t know if I could function around someone that gets the SW Universe better than Lucas.
Top Hat Says:
Haha, I was up til six in the morning reading Weregeek all last night, awesome stuff! And congrats to us on winning second place, we couldn’t have done it without your excellent flying and smashing costume, pilot <3
(also, awesome doodle of Captain Steckley and Professor Lazarus Nowhere, bwaha!)
