I just ran across a link that is too cool not to share. SIllof, a fantastic custom toy maker who has re-envisioned the likes of the Avengers & the Justice League into steampunk heroes, has tackled several of the Star Wars movies. The sheer detail on the gears and joints of C-3P0 alone are worth checking out the site for, but there are pages and pages of delightful figures to look at. If you’re a fan of the artistry required for this sort of work, it’s a must-see.
Secondly, I just wanted to say that if you happen to run across a link to something nifty, please feel free to point it out to me by email, or in the forum. Great geeky things deserve to be shared!

Shameless plug alert!
Well, Alina said we could post nifty geek stuff.
Anyhow, I’ve got a friend who spent about 10 years developing a scale model pirate game. He finally started production about a year and a half ago and has been running events at historical and gaming cons in the Ohio area for the past year and a half or so. The did GenCon last week and I believe something called Colors Con is their next target.
Anyhow, http://www.sailpowergame.com is their site. They haven’t updated the photo gallery since I had the time to start playing with them, so you don’t even have to look at my ugly mug if you check it out.

Yay! I took about two weeks to catch up and I’m finally done!
I really like this comic, because I sympathize with it. I nerd out occasionally but I don’t think I’m a full-on geek… thus, a weregeek.
Thanks, keep up the great work!
