Back to the Shadows…. again
Back to the Shadows…. again

If you’re wondering what previous games Wayne is referring to in his intro, then let me toss you a few links to the previous installments of the Shadowrun storyline.

Part I (In the Shadows), Part II (Back to the Shadows)

If you’ve been with the comic for a while, then you’ll know that I LOVE drawing the group’s Shadowrun characters. Actually, scratch that. I love drawing Shadowrun characters in general. There is just something intensely fun about the mix of dark, gritty cyberpunk and wacky fantasy races. Plus, I could draw trolls all day, every day, until my hands fell off. They are just so blocky and wonderful.

And, if I wasn’t already excited enough about the prospect of being able to draw the Shadowrun storyline again, Layne has just started a brand new Shadowrun game for me and a few friends. We are essentially playing street punks who only WISH they could be slick ‘Runners like in the vids. It is hilarious, and I may have to start posting up all of the sketches I’ve done of the group.

So sit back, jack in, and let’s be off for another run through the Shadows, eh chummer?

Yay, SR! Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. There are already sights that mock DnD, and so many that mock video game fantasy. Nobody touches the 6th World, and it is my favorite game! WereGeek improves my quality of life…now I just depressed myself. What was I talking about before? Oh YEAH! Yay SR comic Hurray!

  4. <3 SR Man, if you ever do commissions I'll have to throw some of the runners I've played, and run with toward you.

first of all, i *really* love this comic, so this feels kind of awkward to say, but i just couldn’t resist. if that really REALLY is a cyber-zombie, they are all so. very. dead. i usually don’t like pointing out stuff like that but now i am going to be sad if the chars survive this which has me a little confused… 🙁

oh, right. i guess they should probably not make it too hard for him to keep them alive or he might decide they are not worth the trouble after all 😉

Back during SR3 I played in the Virtual Seattle multi player campaign. I had a character based on the movie “The Man Who Knew Too Little.” She thought she was a simsense actress portraying a ‘Runner.

    Ah, shadowrun.
Home to munchkins, pornomancers, hillarious character concepts (we had a troll-yoda) and many shady figures.

    nice 😀

I’d love to see your drawings of Shadowrun characters. I really miss this game, especially since 4th edition doesn’t do it for me nearly the way previous editions did.

Why is there always one player in every Shadowrun game that has a character obsessed with explosives?

Is that “weasel chaman” line a reference to Muktuk ?

If it wasn’t for me being obsessed with D&D (only in 4 campaigns now..) I would seriously love to try Shadowrun someday, looks like fun.

Oh and explosives rocks! (Ok ok, Earth Reaver is my favorite spell in D&D I admit it.. that, Fireball and explosive cascade…)
