The Old Switcheroo

Hey all! I have driven for 20+ hours out of the last 48, and still have to move to Saskatchewan at some point in the next day. So, in order to save my own sanity, I’m switching Friday’s update to today. Enjoy some random hedgehogs and mice!

Why am I thinking of Brian Jacques’ Redwall series as I look at this (it took me a while to find the Author’s name, since I never read the books)?

    I was just thinking REDWALL!!!!
I always pictured myself as a Hare :D
but that one on the lizard reminds me a bit of the Mice Templar series
    nice work!

Totally Redwall! Though the mice wouldn’t be riding the hedgepigs if it were. And you’d need hares, squirrels, sparrows and BADGERS!!!

Haha, I totally thought of Redwall too. Not that mice would ride hedgehogs in the Redwall books, since they’re portrayed as being closer in size, but the bottom right picture with the scorpion totally made me think of Mariel of Redwall, and the rest of the designs are super cute :)

  8. OMG so CUUUUUTE! (By the way, I’ve been reading this comic for… idk… probably years now… so hi :) I went to a couple of your streams)

Ha, that’s funny…Redwall -wasn’t- my first thought, but that’s primarily because I was thinking of Mouse Guard, a series of comics that feature a bit more to-scale mice. It’s also been converted into a really interesting tabletop RPG.

Or, more recently, David Petersen’s Mouse Guard.

Strange, I was thinking of those militant mice I’ve been breeding in my basement lab.

I was confused. I thought I might have missed a couple days and that it was Friday already.

  13. Keeping the roll-into-a-spiky-ball defensive posture in mind, a hedgehog would make a better seige engine than mount.

    My initial thought was “REDWALL!!!”
Though as others have said, the mice wouldn’t ride the hedgehogs.
The scorpion reminded me of the scene in Mossflower when Gonff “danced” with the crab.

I too had Redwall spring to mind, particularly because I’ve been rereading some of those recently. Great minds think alike?

Agreed; both Mouseguard and Redwall came to mind….but I also thought of Nimh.

Funny, the first thing that came to my mind was: More experimental animals! *is a mad scientist* THEN Redwall.

Is it wrong that my response was to literally say “OHMYGOD! Iz like Mouse Guard…but with HEDGEHOGS!”?

    Very very cute.

On a none-mouse related note: Welcome to the land of the flat, I hope you won’t miss hills.
