Hey guys!
You may have noticed that the art on today’s comic is a little bit different than usual! That is because this strip has been drawn by Tarol Hunt, the wonderful author and artist behind Goblins.
This is not a guest comic… think of it more as a preview of things to come!
Let me explain. If you’ve been following me on Twitter, or even just skimming the blogs, you’ll know that I’ve been incredibly busy lately. With my return to work at Wapos Bay, I’ve been really strapped for time, and that the comics are getting done closer and closer to the wire. My once proud buffer is now a distant memory, and there’s no relief in sight.
So it was no small decision on my part to step down as artist of Weregeek for the foreseeable future, and my good friend Tarol has agreed to take up the reins! I am eternally grateful for his help during this very busy time, and I am really, really excited by seeing his take on the characters and their world. I think we’re going to see some really neat stuff in the next few months! Today’s update is merely a taste of what’s in store! There’s big changes coming!
So now, on this VERY important day, I’d like you all to welcome Tarol Hunt – the new artist of Weregeek.com!

Wow, I… I do’t know how to feel right now. I mean, I love Thunt’s work, but there’s this bittersweet taste to knowing he’ll stop working on goblins in order to do this. I mean, both are in my top ten favorite webcomics, but Goblin’s never gonna e the same without him. Weregeek’s gonna get awesome as God with a chainsaw riding Cthulhu, though.

Oh the indecisiveness!! I love goblins and i think this is great but at the same time i like the way things are already being done…. And what if this means less updates on goblins. But Tarol Hunt is really good…. and Alina your really good to and in a different way. There are some similarities though, and if this is what you need to do to make your life better than its the right things to do. I guess my biggest question is who will be doing the writing?

Don’t worry startrek2365 , Thunt is leaving goblins to work on WereGeek. There’s been a rumor that the artist of DorkTower may be buying the property off of him, so that story probably won’t go away either.

Oh gods, I was really scared for a bit. Thunt is very good but I could not handle his perfectionist art in weregeek, not to mention the comic would get what, 1 update per month? It would kill the comic for me…
Oh well, besides the scare, at least I have a new comic to read. Alina pls don’t leave us never ever again (even fake leaving)

This is Wonderful! I read goblins and Weregeek. And I love both of them… I also have realized that today is April fools day, and If I am correct, Thunt did the same thing last year. Either way, whether being fake or truth, Thunt is a great artist and I look forward to still reading both his and your web comics

It’s coming from the bracelet on his leg. Either it’s a powerline or a data cable. Either way, I think I’d know this if I could play Lasertag over here (why did they forbid it for fucks sake?!)

Proportions are pretty…. weird. I hope it works. Personally, even in a comic, I like people proportioned like people, otherwise it looks more like it is drawn for 3 year olds than adults
