I got an urge to draw tiny superheroes one evening while watching Mythbusters. It was a superhero myth episode, and thus, tiny, ridiculous superheroes. This batch is a crew of DC characters, along with two random, generic characters I doodled who were none the less to neat to leave out. I particularly like Pensive Floating Girl, and imagine that she’s the sort of superhero who enjoys kicking back on the rooftops with a chai latte, some trance music, and a good book after a long day’s worth of crime fighting. She probably has several cats, and uses her super speed to knit sweaters to donate to the local charity…
Next week, some tiny Marvel superheroes!

Ascension Says:
Tiny Batman is confused? Probably because Tiny Robin and Tiny Catwoman are huuuuge compared to him. :p
Got to say, I love your Power Girl. Granted, that’s probably largely because her proportions are completely different than DC’s Power Girl, but I love yours. The expression seals it.
KenderBryant Says:
Oooh! Chibi-Nightcrawler! He’s my fave Marvel char.
Nayrb Says:
You’re gonna have a booth at Comic-Con?
Snowbody Says:
Pensive Floating Girl reminds me of Superhero Girl: http://superherogirladventures.blogspot.com/
Dru Says:
I’d love to read more about Pensive Floating Girl ^_^ (especially if that’s what everyone called her even though she had a “real” name)
WyrmPilot Says:
Ascension, Power Girl is supposed to have the biggest… tracts of land in the DC universe — they do jokes on the subject on a somewhat-regular basis.
Alina, I also love Pensive Floating Girl, and if the Geek gang starts playing a superhero RPG, I expect to see more of her (in terms of face time, not skin area). Also, thanks for pointing out yesterday that some of us love sushi without sashimi.
Andy Says:
Those are awesome!! Also, might you possibly have a Supers campaign in the future of Weregeek’s gaming group? That would be sweet.
Aether Says:
I love these! They’d make an AWESOME cartoon/comic/Weregeek RPG storyline!
Pax Says:
Clearly, the Weregeek gang has to have a Superhero RPG game session or two. Be fun to see what sorts of (anti)Heroes various of the gang would come up with.
MerchManDan Says:
Mmmm, Catwoman…. *drool*
*ahem* So, uh, anyhow: Before reading the blog post, I had thought Pensive Floating Girl and the as-yet-unnamed heroine were Alina herself.
Ascension Says:
I know it’s intentional and joked about with Power Girl. Still doesn’t mean I have to be comfortable with it. :p
Molothot Says:
Based on your doodles & the webcomic subject, I think this would be right up your alley: something incorporating the old Marvel Superheroes RPG from TSR. If you haven’t played it before, it’s pretty rules-lite, easy to get into, and adaptable to any number of campaigns (hero, villain, vigilante, etc). I know you’re the boss when it comes you your comic (which I enjoy reading on a consistent basis!), and I would never want to step on your toes in that regard, I just think this would be a fun thing to explore.
redwulf25_ci Says:
I assumed pensive floating girl was supposed to be Raven. I seem to recall her floating like that a lot in the Teen Titans cartoon.
Bartimaeus Says:
Say, that reminds me of Ultralina, from Moosehead Stew. We need MOAR ULTRALINA!
Lyian Says:
btw.. Mythbusters (or as i like to call “Lets blow stuff up” show) is awesome!
as well as tiny super heroes. Ever watch Teen Titans?
Thanotos6 Says:
Hey, I know you probably get a lot of requests but I think you might enjoy using XCrawl in your Weregeek game group.
John Says:
Oh, yeah, I’d be up for reading about a Weregeek superhero RPG. Maybe a drop-in with ICONS? Though they seem like the group to really get into M&M or Champions.
Now I have to think about what they might be. (There are pretty straight analogs from their fantasy characters.)
