Chapter 18, engage.
Chapter 18, engage.

After a week of D&D interludes, here we are at the beginning of Chapter 18. The Dragon’s Lair gaming store seems to have quite the infestation of webcomics people & merchandise… 🙂

Speaking of the D&D interludes, I got some great feedback about the terrible puns and think that I’ll make them a regular feature in between chapters. And, while I’ve got a list of some real groaners, I know you guys have jokes that are just as bad or worse. Please feel free to send them to me, along with a name/handle I can credit you with. If I like them, I’ll use them in the next set of interludes.

I’m looking forward to/kind of dreading reading your submissions!

  5. I am gonna comment over the last chapter in genera (and other things)l: I like the whole idea of geeky superpowers (I can see you utilizing the ideas from when you sketched Abby and Sarah as super heroes) and especially loved that you had imagined Abby as Nightcrawler (NC FTW!). BTW, I found myself wondering if you were foreshadowing something when you had Sarah as Jean and Mark as Cyclops. I wish you could come down here to my neck of the woods for Metrocon or Anime Festival of Orlando (I would definitely make the trip to meet you in person). I just finished reading Moosehead Stew, I couldn’t stop laughing! Hope you update soon. I do find myself wondering what your opinion is over the latest comic-movies. I like Thor (though I didn’t really know what to think concerning the Bifrost Stargate), Green Lantern wasn’t bad (though I’m more a Marvel fan), and First Class left a lot to be desired (like an explanation as to why Emma seems to be roughly the same age between that and X-men Origins: Wolverine if they’re supposed to be the same character). Alrighty then, that’s enough from me. Hope I didn’t annoy you with my ranting. Laters.

*pokes Matt* There is no s in Lar’s name. It’s just Lar. Just for that you have to watch his weekly live-stream & partake in the drinking game. I foresee lots of getting smashed for you.

And on to the main thing. I love the D&D interludes. I might try thinking of some puns & groaners for you. ^__^

I was playing / Judging mostly “White Star” so I am well marinated in Puns. A few at my tables even appreciated the “wight” pun. I shall endeavor to forward a few for your reserves. Note = Beware the Wight Whale (or is that white wail?) or to Davey Jones Footlocker ye go.

  23. I just thought I should let you know, after my brother made a horrible pun during our D&D session on Saturday night, I quoted your “Oh look, you rolled a natural pun.” The whole table groaned impressively and it took awhile to get back to our regularly scheduled game. 😀
