Happy Canada Day!
Happy Canada Day!

…And happy early 4th of July to all the American Weregeeks out there! Wergeeks in other parts of the world are still encouraged to BBQ something tasty. 🙂

I intend to spend my day listening to Canadian bands while I catch up on drawing comics, and then to head to my friend’s birthday party/epic Canada day waterfight. Meat will be charred, watermelon consumed, and once we’re all full, we’ll wander down to the river to watch the fireworks. Ahhh! Hope the rest of you Canadian Weregeeks have an equally lovely time! See you all on Monday!

My wife has a good friend from Canada, who lives in the U.S. where we do. We had a get together tonight in honor of Canada Day. We showed her your sketch from today, and it absolutely made her day. Thanks for sharing your art with everyone. 😀

Sounds like good times. I’m gearing up for the 4th of July here. I called in sick today and went shooting. Tomorrow, I’m heading to help setup the fireworks show for a town an hour south of here; on Monday, we’re doing our town’s fireworks display; and on Sunday night, I maybe shooting off some of the $400+ in fireworks I bought for my own personal use. It should be an awesome weekend. 😀

  5. Enjoy your holiday. BTW, I was re-reading Moosehead Stew and came across a comment you made about ‘Mythbusters’ that also mentioned animatronic dinosaurs (you said it was the first strip you drew for Moosehead) and immediately though of this: http://www.dinosaurlive.com/ . Enjoy the site. If you got to go to the show, cool on you.

Ah, Canada Day. Celebrating that glorious day when our Northern brothers stood up to the British and proudly declaimed “Hey, if it’s not too much of a bother, we’d like to maybe try governing ourselves a bit.” And the British spitefully replied “Sure, whatever, you’ve got to take Quebec with you though.” Documents were gloriously signed, countersigned, notarized, and properly filed.

Really, it beats the hell out of an eight year long war. Happy Canada Day, you crazy Canucks!

Stuck south of the 49th Parallel, I had a quiet Canada Day and am having as quiet an Independence Day as the boom-happy neighbors allow — having a cold during allergy season isn’t a lot of fun.

Thaklaar, their holiday makes a whole lot more sense than one commemorating the beginning of an eight-year war.

Poutine!!!! Such a delicious, and overwhelmingly (is that a word?) fat and salty and skouiki, at its best after a long night of partying, to calm your stomach after you drank too much 🙂 Do eat if you love food. Flee if you intend to remain slim.
