Beast
Beast

Hey guys,

The Friday sketch is a day early because we’re jumping to another scene in the same chapter and I figured that this would be a good way to break things up. It also follows nicely with the theme of the next section, where the group will have to confront their inner beasts…

This sketch started out as a doodle of a more generic demony guy, and then veered off into big-furry-beast-dude territory. I’m very tempted to use this guy as an NPC the next time I run a fantasy game, since he seems like the slightly forlorn but still (more or less, depending on diplomacy rolls…) loyal product of a mages experimentation.

He looks like he could pummel you into the ground, but he might not, if you treat him nicely.

Looks like the archive is having some trouble. No images, claims no posts on certain days.

And it quickly became my favourite sketch ever. So favourite that when I saw it I went, “Ooo, shiny!” and bought it. 🙂 And if I remember correctly, you then carried it with you for a bout a year because I couldn’t safely transport it from the con we were at and that was how long it took for us to reconnect. Which was awesome, it was like finding the sketch all over again! Thanks, Alina!

  7. That’s a pretty lovely sketch! You should totally bring him in!

(On a side note he reminds me a little bit of Beast from the Fables Comics)

Does anyone else get a broken display for archives pages?

Yes, there seem to be archive problems (three different links lead to the same failure, so it’s not a broken link).

It looks like a character from Disney’s Gargoyles. I like him a lot.

It seems to be a compatibility issue between Facebook and older versions of Firefox. If you’re running Firefox 3, the Facebook “like” button breaks the page. We’re working on the issue, but if you update Firefox you should be fine.

I have updated the site to remove the “Like” button for any version of Firefox before version 4. Newer versions and other browsers seem to work fine. Hopefully this fixes the issue!

I think I found the problem, for real this time! Archives should be back in shape after the cache refreshes.

You know, I have a question for you. What would someone who geeks out on music look like in their geek mode? I only ask because when it comes to D&D and Warcraft, I’m not near as knowledgable as some of my friends, but when it comes to music, I out-geek all of them combined.
