Book 4: The Geek Unleashed
Book 4: The Geek Unleashed

Hey Weregeeks! It’s that time again – time for another print collection to be published!

This time around, rather than try to do a pre-order through my store, I am going to be doing a pre-order through IndieGoGo. (Basically, it’s Kickstarter, but not limited to U.S.-based companies.) This means that along with offering first dibs on the new run of books, I am also going to be offering a TON of perks for signing up. All of these perks will be exclusive to my IndieGoGo supporters, which means that they will not be available here on the site. And there’s some fun ones! Want me to NPC at your game? That’s an option! Want a handmade Weregeek figurine, sculpted by me? That’s also a possibility!

Please check out my Campaign Page for more details about the perks, and about the campaign itself.

And, even if you aren’t able to pitch in monetarily (And trust me, I know the feeling. Games aren’t cheap!), you can still help me out by spreading the word about this campaign. Tweet, Facebook, or whatever social-networking-verb you care to use – it’d be a huge help and I will really appreciate it!

  1. The NPC option sound awesome till I remember that they don’t last long in our games. We usually black bag them or worse. HEHEHEH

I really like the author just ripping her way through the adventure fabric with the chars recoiling in surprise. Perfect.

  5. Man, I wish I had $250 lying around. Would be hilarious to get Alina to show up at one of my group’s Skype games. Ah well. Shall have to see if I can at least dig up $25 for the print copy.

…And then Alina destroyed the fourth wall.

But on a serious note, I swear as soon as I have money I’m buying some weregeek. I need more physical copies of comics anyway, they may as well be awesome.

*yipeee**** I still needed book 3 so now I can get both *smile*

Oh how I wish we could do the NPC or DM Skype — just managed to Skype a friend into our DnD game Sunday for the first time– was chaotic since we had 17 “live” in the room as well. My living room is just not big enough for all this. Our DM had turned us into various creatures at the end of last adventure so we were literally floundering about (I was a giant toad, there were 3 tritons that had to be carried by various other wolf/kobold creatures). Our Skyped friend was new to the adventure and basically did a wake up/freak out what are these strange creatures/I’m not joining them, I’m just going to trail them and see what the heck is going on. We survived in the end (barely) and are back to normal (though friend managed to die and have to come back as another character). I think our current DM is alot like Alina would be — very clever and creative.

Will it be ready in time for Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo? I usually love getting you to do the artists edition at the con. Ether way I’ll probably get the PDF at least.

*And then Pinkie Pie rips a hole right beside Alina* WOW!!! You can do this too?! We might be sisters in some freakish interdimansional timey-wimey wierd way! Or maybe you’re my dimension clone! Ooooooo!

After looking at the IndieGoGo site, I have one question: is this Flexible or Fixed Funding?

You’re offering a lot of nice things! Picked up an art commission along with the book.

  12. Alina Says:

Paul – It’s a flexible campaign. (Funds are contributed whether or not we reach the goal.) I’m getting these books printed whether or not it’s fully funded., but meeting that final goal will sure be a load off my shoulders. 🙂
