Gryphon riders
Gryphon riders
Second part of code:

This is a sketch that I did during a long-ago Dragonlance game. Our characters had found themselves in some sort of great calamity (which was a frequent occurrence), and were whisked away seconds before they were to be overwhelmed by some gryphon-riders. The flavor text for this little bit of the adventure was quite nice, and so I doodled it down, and later scanned it in and added some shading to it because I was quite fond of the drawing.

I eventually had to leave that particular campaign when I moved to Edmonton, but they carried on without me – right to the bitter end of the story. It took several years and numerous changes of players, but our DM persevered and ran ALL of the Dragonlance modules. I tip my hat to you, sir! That is a LOT of modules!

ALSO – Wondercon Weregeeks! If you’re heading to Wondercon in Anaheim this weekend, I wanted to let you know that while I couldn’t make it to the show this year, all of my dice jewellery did! If you want to get your hands on some (shipping-free!) d20 earrings or necklaces, please find the wonderful folks at the Little Vampires Booth, and check out some of their awesome merchandise while you’re at it. They’re at booth 801.

Ah, Dragonlance. I miss the old DL. I’m not fond of all the changes and everything. Meh, guess I’m old. Same goes for Forgotten Realms. I don’t like how they killed off some of my favorite chars (I won’t say who, so I don’t ruin it for others).

Nice. The shading adds up a lot to your usual quick comic style. I mean that the sketch is rather epic for something worked on relatively quickly on a doodle. :) How about a similar styled Weregeek poster in color?

Wait, you’re saying he ran ALL the official modules? Wow, talk about an epic campaign! Hats off to him from another old school AD&D DM :)

Regarding the sketch, it’s all kinds of awesome. Such a simple shading, and such a powerful effect, you’re really gifted, lady :D

a really fine picture. Only thing bothering me is the fact, that the byrider will drop off as soon as the griffon needs to push a little harder. I mean, sitting behind the wings, holding onto only by a halfhearted hug…

I remember the Tomb of Huma. Q:”What happens if a Red incinerates a lot of Kender and Tinker villages?” – A: “Alignment crisis.”
