That magical moment when a kid finally sleeps through the night…

…Is often terrifying for the parents, who have never experienced such a thing before.

I certainly remember those days for all three of mine. That morning where we’d wake up and realize that he or she had slept through the night and then “what’s wrong?” Then we would find a baby sleeping peacefully. 😎

This is true, the level of horror can roughly be described as similar to the first time I watched SAW.

Ha! With our first, it took my wife and I a couple days before we realized he was sleeping through the night- we were so sleep-deprived it didn’t register.. Then we threw a party- and had another nap 😀

Indeed, the wife and I checked every 15 minutes to make certain he was still breathing. On the other hand, he was five.

  8. The kid has no stamina. How is he going to stay up all night gaming? Maybe, gamers do not breed true.

Our first two took forever to sleep through the night, with a lot of “encouragement” from us. Our third…just did it. That’s the last time she was so cooperative.

I was a born insomniac. I still haven’t learned to sleep through the night.

Mom eventually figured out my crying had more to do with boredom than any real need, so she coped by leaving books in my crib. I was reading by the time I turned 4.

I envy those of you who can sleep without medical assistance.
