Wait…this is a New World of Darkness Game? Dang, and just think…second edition of this system (lots of big changes, yet so much stays the same) is going on kickstarter on next Tuesday. So I guess the question is Alina, do you prefer the 2e New World of Darkness rules or the 1e? Are you excited for new changeling?

Wait, what? I have to correct you there buddy. There is a whole ANOTHER edition you are glossing over. Changeling: The Dreaming was released in 1995 set in what is now known as oWOD. This changed to C:tL is 2007 in the nWOD. Chronicles of Darkness is not a second edition, but more like third edition. The new C:tL is a second edition of this book, howver NOWHERE near the second edition of the game.

All my instincts as RPG player say there something wrong with everyone if they can escape so easily.

    “Yay, we’re not all dead!”

The happiest line any good rpg player can utter.

I find it odd the creature doesn’t use them again to defend. Does his victims need to be awake to be controlled?

I agree with Michel. Want to bet there are some lingering affects after being mind controlled?

Hmmmm seems a little too easy…. I am suspicious of a sudden disaster.

Wow. Is there a gamer term for the OPPOSITE of a TPK?

I’ll take 2nd Edition Old WoD, personally. Especially Wraith.

Not quite, Changeling the Dreaming is a separate game with a different lore the Old World games just got new editions called 20th anniversaries.

Well, they didn’t make it to the Goblin Market, or solve the problem like they were supposed to. All they’ve done is find out what’s blocking the way and narrowly escape from it.

Well reconnaissance achieved — and survived, which is even better. Mission accomplished! 🙂

Who wants to bet that they just led the super-powerful, mind controlling entity to their freehold? Anyone?

  16. Eva Says:

    Woooooo for no TPK! 😀

And for folks saying “that was too easy, nothing got resolved” this is happening in a large chronicle, not a small tabletop game. Our favorite heroes don’t need to be the ones to eventually deal with this baddy, there are plenty of other characters who may get hooked into that train wreck (and I’m sure the GMs could come up with piles of interesting complications). 😉

@HaplessWithDice Was your comment directed at me? I know CtD is a different game within the OWoD. I just always wanted to play WtO, and never got a chance. Every storyteller in my area while I was still active in tabletop rpgs was stuck on either VtM or WtA.

@Eva: I forgot that it was Riptooth blocking the path to the market, not the puppeteer.

Just found out that Riptooth have 5 fingers on his right hand on 4th panel – a small mistake from Alina, but hey, as a Virgo I tend to spot out details X-D
And is it me or everyone on the room went from 😀 to 😐 when they came in?
