Sarah looks especially pretty in the first frame.

I’ve been there. I started laughing and the cop didn’t even look offended. He said the two common reactions to being in a car accident where you get to walk away without being put into an ambulance for safety is what Hadeed is undergoing, and just almost hysterical laughter, as both are ways for the body and mind to process the stress and various chemicals currently pumping through the body. Glad to see he’s okay though.

I got in a car accident in my wedding day. I feel with Hadeed.

Therefore He should get himself checked in the Hospital, just to be Sure.

Mikasi: yeah, especially once that initial adrenaline dump wears off.

There is some speculation that laughing was evolved as a signal to the rest of the tribe that hey, everything is okay. That thing we all thought was a leopard? Just a rock, you guys. Isn’t that funny, hah hah!

So, a sudden scary bad thing happens, and then you find that hey, you’re okay and not on an exciting journey to becoming leopard poop? Trigger the laughing!

That’s how my husband texted me. “I’m fine but the truck is f***ed”

Hit a patch of ice a few years ago, and my SUV ended on it’s side, in a ditch. I wasn’t going all that fast, and had a surprising amount of time to brace. Aside from some minor bruises and strains, I was fine. As for the vehicle, well, I drove it home from the tow yard. It wasn’t the road speed, but the spin speed that was the problem (well, and the ice).

The tow driver said, before he started on the car, that it was obviously totaled, with the frame ruined. By the time he had it on it’s tires, and then on the truck, he was saying that it might be salvageable. When we got to the tow yard to drop it, he was thinking that if we could inflate the tires, we might be able to drive it. And, that’s what we did. It just needed some bolts and engine mounts.

As for my state of mind, I was a mix of relieved and wired. Lots of adrenaline, and no desire to let that rush go, because I knew I would be hurting.

Whew! I figured it’d be something like that. Glad to see he’s mostly ok.

I’ve been in a few accidents myself — fortunately, the only thing I’ve broken is my nose (knock on wood); extra fortunately, in the accident with my two young’uns in the car, nobody was hurt.

Another fun surprise Hadeed has to look forward to is the adrenaline crash. It’s not uncommon to cry your eyes out…

In a few days, Sarah must go to Hadeeds with Soft things, a good movie and many tasty snackies and then they can have their date in the land of Peace and Quiet.

Poor Hadeed. Sarah, I think your date just became pizza, Netflix and chill. Of course, having been run over by a car, I’m kind of surprised they don’t have him on a backboard with a neck brace and headed to the hospital just in case. The EMTs should be playing it safe, especially if Hadeed’s car is in as bad a shape as he suggests. Never mess around with potential neck injuries.

Adding to the accident file – bright sunny February afternoon. Underpass to a curved ramp, 401E Express to 400N and there was some drip-page in the shadows that I somehow found as black ice – so a half spin, shimmy, over-correct and low speed nuzzle with the opposite barrier put the car on it’s roof. The car behind me slid on the same patch but managed not to play bumper cars. Car only had minor scrapes, popped airbags and a wrecked bumper. Even the headlights were still okay. Eventually I was boarded, rushed to the emergency and then left in a hallway to freeze for 6 hours before being allowed to figure out how to get home. The car in the meantime? The tow operator totaled it taking it back to their yard.

Never been in an accident, a true accident anyways, one time we were at a red light, in our truck and the woman behind us thought we were moving, she only hit us going like one or two MPH, and bumped into us, so I don’t consider that an accident, wasn’t any scratches or anything. This isn’t an accident but one time, my father, sister and I were going up a really step hill, with lots of snow and ice, in a truck, and cars were crashing into each other all around us, like 5 wrecks happen while we were driving up the hill practically sideways. We didn’t wreck but my sister and I were acting like Hadeed here.

Man…I don’t like him much and don’t want the relationship to work with Sarah because I ship her with Mark and want them to get together. I was hoping him being late would’ve been a good sign that the relationship wouldn’t work out…but now that is a wreck…I feel bad…I still don’t want him with her, but can’t fault the dude for being in a wreck…

    @Kaunisenkeli
Absolutely agree. I’ve been suffering from Whiplash for the past 5 years now. Didn’t go to the hospital though after the crash because “i don’t have time. I need to marry”.

    Yeah…. wasn’t my smartest idea 😉
