Apparently, my brain has now accepted “Freehold” as the only term it will use for “place where the LARP characters live”. This gets surreal at our Fallen Angels game, and downright confusing at any other nWoD game.

Also, is Joel just trolling Jim here? I think he is.

Sorry for the slow start getting back from Gen Con. Getting our Kickstarter up and running pretty much finished off my buffer, and I’m still pretty wiped out from the show. I hope to get back into the swing of things and build the buffer up again over the next week or so. There’ll be a second update later today to catch us up, and then regular updates will continue from here on out.

That being said, Gen Con was AMAZING!! The show floor felt busier than ever, and I got to meet a ton of you fine people!! If you’ve never been, I highly recommend it. The whole of downtown Indianapolis is suddenly filled with geeks, and everywhere you go, people are gaming. It’s also the friendliest show – the sort of place where you can ask pretty much anyone what they’re playing and get an enthusiastic explanation, and probably an invitation to join in the next game as well.

We got to playtest Twilight Arcana a bunch while we were there, and got some amazing feedback. The biggest one is that everyone loves the art, and we managed to talk to a bunch of people in the Fantasy Artists section of Gen Con. Hopefully, we’ll have some more amazing artists signing on to illustrate the remaining face cards!
