He’s having delusions? Nark, indeed! Has someone been slipping something into his water dish?

If Mark thinks HE looks silly, he can’t have seen too many fetish models at work…

ok, i´m fairly sure the last panel was just marks overactive imagination – but very scary nonetheless!

Uh…oh… He is having flashbacks to his Ex. This is not good, not only is his night shot because of this, I think his relationship with Ravenia is going to suffer too.

Wow. Mark clearly still has some unresolved issues here.

I’m loving this storyline so far. I really hope it goes well and avoids the kinda sitcom/soap opera drama that traditionally comes from this sort ld setup. Would love to see a healthy resolution.

Mark’s got a decent thing going already by asking Abbie to talk, so that’s good, but he needs to talk with his partners here as well, and take a breath. He’s probably commenting how adorable Mark is. Lol.

That said, I totally empathize with the runway social panic and self image issues. Definitely can’t wait for the next pages. ^_^

I’m glad Mark is so in character here, but someone should really look after his Changeling’s Clarity if this is happening. ;p Friends don’t let friends run off raving into the Hedge.

But jokes about Changeling being a metaphor for abuse and mental illness aside, Mark needs to address his issues.

This gives me memories from the weregeek arc of the story … Wait … are they playing two larps at the same time ?!?

Woah… seeing her out of nowhere was a shock. I so not like her.
That aside, Mark just has this issue of a late-bloomer-geek. Before he didn’t have to go through this kind of beeing judged by others, because before, he was – at least in his hobbys – more of a jock. If mini-golf can count for that. Now he goes through this phase were you have to come to the point where you can say: “It is my Life and my Time and I will live it how I please, there is nothing to be guilty about so come to terms with it or leave.”
Still, when some people are clearly watching you, then start whispering followed by laughter, I think everybody would get irritated. Especially if it is someone you met for the first time and can’t even start to imagine the conversation. And the costume Mark wears actually is a little silly. At least compared to prince Allan.
*sigh* Not the simple path you chose, Mark. You will have to learn following a path with additional hardships. But on the upside, if you reach the goal, nothing will phaze you in the future.

This is the first time we see people in character without seeing their characters. Kind of the opposite of marks earlier “delusions”.
I did like Jess. She actually openly communicated with Mark that his games were not her thing but that she accepted him as is. Wonder how this will pan out.

I’m honestly starting to wonder what Mark’s deal with D . . . turquoise-haired hottie is. At first it seemed clear that it was mostly jealousy over Ravenia, but he seems really stressed to impress him, even moreso than Ravenia. Is it just an ego thing? Or is there something more going on, which is why his subconscious throws in Jess’s put-down, because it’s shitty to be dissed by someone you wanted to befriend, but much shittier (at some times, in some places, to some people) to be dissed by someone you’re attracted to.

On the other hand, going back through the archive for his arc with Jess and Sarah (man, Sarah REALLY did not come off well there) reminded me that Mark once had to be informed that gay people could like normal things. So if it’s in there, it’s down pretty deep.

    . . . HEYO!

Mark’s best bet right now, as his head clearly isn’t in the game, and he won;t be able to enjoy it, is to do the mature thing….Approach the Storyteller, tell them that he’s not up to playing today and sit the game out, before anything major/important happens.
