Well… what an unpredicted turn of events. So… sooner or later, both Mark and Sarah are falling in love with Damien/lust over him. This could get very intense and interesting.
Can’t wait to read more of this arc! Such great work. So much suspense. So multiple ways how this story could continue. I’m. loving. it!

well, to be fair, the guy does look like some anime hero come to life, dump some glitter on him and put him underneath a sakura in full bloom and you have a shoujou commercial!

… if only it were that easy :-/

I know that; from the inside, it SEEMS that one big happy poly-cule will solve everybody’s problems.

Misery shared is halved. Joy shared is Doubled.

Though these returns will diminish with sufficient Distance (either Physical or Emotional) over Time. Which is a good thing.
Not enough distance and at the subatomic level the mathematical gains are large enough to produce (Thankfully) small distortions to local spacetime reminicent of event horizons.
While disruptive, they are not self sustaining at that size. And tend to collapse upon themselves. And here i go off on another tangent…

Getting back to the topic (and continuing the Math/Organic Chemistry analogy) Polycules (almost) universally have a Positive charge.
As the polycule increases its size, it becomes more readily affected by and (attractive to) negative charges in the environment these polycules exist within.

Exponentially so, in point of fact.

  7. KILLER_bat Says:

Daring Doo… have you seen how mark was reacting to Damien??? He was not happy, he was insecure about himself and envious about Damien
s appearance. Those are not the thoughts of someone who finds someone else attractive. I Just hope Hadid is cool with Sara reacting that way. He seems to be ok with it right now.

Sarah that’s Dustin, you’ve met him several times.

  9. Daring Doo Says:

It’s sooner or later. Mark is very insecure, not to speak of his sexuality. So it’ll take some time. It’s not the kind of ‘love at first sight’, it seems to be more the ‘strong emotional reaction at first sight followed by a long journey of self understanding and reflection to figure ones feeling finaly out’ kind of love.

*sigh* So much drama and craziness. I’m starting to wonder how anyone is going to stay together in this comic.

  11. MasqueradingDragon, There’s always Joel and Steph. They don’t seem to be going anywehere.

  12. ozzi Says:

@MasqueradingDragon it looks like the standard LARP to me. In 6 months they will have all swapped partners and the game will be totally different too.

  13. MasqueradingDragon Says:

@Katsuhiro Mibu @ozzi True, to both comments 🙂

  14. AtWork Says:

    @Daring Doo
Please don’t put this up as a fact. If it’s your head canon, put an “IMHO” before this. I’m with KILLER_bat on this, there is no indication of Mark being attracted to Damien, or men at all. You can ship your heart out but, again, it is all conjecture without basis right now.

And I sure hope that it stays that way. I’m not a fan of the format that suddenly introduces one hyper-good-looking person that everyone completely swoons over. And I would not enjoy it being enforced in this webcomic. Then again, I don’t think that will happen.
