Not sure if Jodi is the wrong person, or right person to discuss that topic with… XD

Yeah, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say she’s leading with the small stuff that’s bugging her.

  3. q`Tzal Says:

Who or what one perceives as sexy is entirely up to the viewer; someone else’s opinion does not enter into the matter.

Acting on that perception presents an actual dilemma but our thoughts and feelings are our own.

This is fair, I will drag my friends for dirt over some of the stuff they find hot. XD

Furry fandom REPRESENT! And, sadly, she’s not kidding. We still have fights over whether sex with an animal-human hybrid, assuming they are pf legal age and sentience, is bestiality.

Every thing Jodi has said in this strip is 100% true. And I really hope Jodi says exactly what everyone was saying about Katie not being right about getting Abbie to talk to Mark on her behalf.

Furry here, can confirm. No really, we have all the drama of fandoms ten times our size.

the answer is simple: it depends on the type of werewolf – some look like a twisted, crippled animal (with rabies)….and some are so cute and hot iยดd love to give them a good petting ๐Ÿ˜‰

  9. Myles Adams Says:

A werewolf? A metaphor for loss of control and bestial violent tendencies, harming those you care about?

I *wonder* why there might be a difference of opinion on that…

This is a bit deflating. Werewolves ARE sexy though. Vampries are lame.

I hope Abbie tells her about what Katie asked her to do. Jodi seems like a more chill/grounded person and may be able to actually help out here.

  14. Cicada Says:

This… wow. Alright, yeah. I feel this so much. I remember, before I realized I was ace/aro, sitting in a room and playing Marry/Kiss/Kill with a friend, trying desperately to figure out why I wasn’t able to give the right answer as to which characters or people were attractive.
I never thought I’d actually see anyone write about anything like this. I never thought anyone would understand that experience and think it was important enough to tell a story about.
So no matter how this story ends, thank you, Alina. Thank you so much.

I’m gonna err on the side of caution and asume that it was probably sexy.

I might be wrong but I probably aren’t

    What side was Abbie on?

  17. Taran Says:

I’ve been wondering if Abbie could be Ace or Aro, the wording with this really makes me wonder if that might be the case. The part about I think I’m weird and broken… yeah that hits home.

    Was that werewolf named Mark?

  19. Cyrus Says:

I think I agree with the comments here suggesting this might be about asexuality. As a grey-ace, that’s definitely the vibe I’m getting. It seems like a stupid, shallow argument, and maybe it is to people who are simply arguing about the different things that they’re sexually attracted to. But if you don’t really feel sexual attraction at all, it can feel like you’re speaking completely different languages. And it’s even worse if the ‘talking past each other’ is happening with someone you’re really close to, who’s always seemed to get you. All of a sudden, there’s something about you that this person you love can’t understand, you can’t seem to explain it to them, and you’re left feeling… well, weird and broken.

  20. Cyrus Says:

Also… does anyone else think the panels showing Abbie’s room have looked like a giant ace flag these past few strips? xD

  21. Ian Price Says:

Answer is definitely yes don’t @ me.

  22. Scarecrow Says:

Agreed, Cyrus. I recall the one strip where she said, “Ew, boys are gross!” And never has seem interested in pursuing a relationship. Which is fine, and if that’s the case, I hope she finds the healthy balance (NOT broken!). For those (such as me) who like to ‘ship her, that’s just OUR projection and hopes. I think she and Mark could be a natural couple, but I’m a romantic. She may not be – and that’s fine!

Best written character in the strip.

That’s definitely not what you’re actually upset about, honey. But take your time and work through to the real reason on your own. *hugs*

Well, if Sarah is into vampires, and Abby is into werewolves…

Ah, the old rivalry returns! ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. Ophidiophile Says:

I’m with Shalace on this. When someone is bothered by something “really dumb”, that’s never what’s bothering them. That’s the distraction they use to keep themselves from having to face the real problem. The way to help them is to keep asking questions, and not take their problem at face value, i.e., don’t try to solve that problem, but dig until you hit the real problem.
